I was assigned to the Mullany upon my arrival from Vietnam in June of 1970. I was the ships cook, assigned as permanent party. The ship was underway on the weekends, and then the two week active duty assignments. It was a pleasure to have served aboard.

I was a sonar tech. on the Mullany '66 to '68. Did 2 wespac cruises. Didn't get much sleep, fired guns all night and rearmed every day, or so it seemed. STG's worked in the ammo handling rooms under the 5'' guns.
